Today was so hectic and stressful that I was going to skip posting, but I realized this afternoon that it was September 30th, which marks my blogiversary! I can't believe I have been blogging here for four years now. A presidential term! It really doesn't seem that long.
I drew three cards to represent my 4-year celebration: Death, Wheel of Fortune and the Emperor (or The Compost Pot, The Lazy Susan and The Fridge).
Death: There have been several times when I have considered giving up blogging. I don't know if I have ever committed to anything for four years (not counting motherhood!). So this is a big deal to me. I haven't let this blog die, though I have taken small breaks in order to rejuvenate my interest in it. The thing that keeps me interested in tarot is that it is ever changing and growing. There is always more to learn. So it stays fresh for the most part, which helps keep my interest in blogging about it alive.
Wheel of Fortune: This is along the same lines as I was going with the Death card. Change is good. And it's a necessary trait in a thing if it's to keep me interested. If things are stagnant, I'm gone. Onto the next thing. So the Wheel of Tarot keeps me on my toes. Having a plethora of deck choices definitely helps hold my interest in writing about the same cards over and over, year after year.
The Emperor: I never can relate very well to this card, but it makes sense here. The Emperor sticks with something. He isn't flighty, he doesn't flow where the wind takes him. He makes a commitment and sticks with it. He would be proud of my 4-year mark. The Emperor in this deck is portrayed by a fridge. It's where we get our nourishment, and I can see how blogging fulfills my need to express myself, share my enthusiasm about tarot and help others who are learning to read for themselves.
Thank you to all of my readers... all of your wonderful support and encouragement has meant the world to me. Here's to another year... Year Five!

absolutely wonderful to have you back!:):)
Congratulations on year 4! I also thought about the Emperor being card IV. What a wonderful accomplishment and how inspiring to me as well so thank you for that. I tend to get all excited and into something and then get bored and stop after a while, so this is giving me a lot to think about. I am so glad you're back after the move and that your blog is still going strong. I've learned so much from it. So thank you and congrats!
Congrats on your 4th blogging anniversary. Keep up the great work. :)
Glad to have you back! I am all for a second term of tarot dame!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you, thank you everyone!!!
Violet... Wow, I didn't even make the connection of the Emperor being number 4! Great observation!
And od course in old decks his legs are crossed in the form of a figure 4...
Another awesome observation... thank you Annabel!
