Today I drew my favorite color combo. Green and Purple. While there is an actual "Green" card in the deck, and this one is named "Jade", it's still the same general color combo to me.
I have these cards set up on my dresser, and I just keep looking over at them, because I love the way they look together. The color combination is so pleasing and comforting to me. It feels like home.
As I have been drawing the first card in my readings with this deck to show me what color I would benefit from wearing, I was momentarily stumped when I turned over Jade this morning. Just two days ago, I drew Emerald, and wore my only green shirt (if you don't count my NFL Jets shirts). Not in the mood to wear a team shirt today, I had another idea come to me, inspired by the trees in the card.
Last week, my mom sent me a package and one of the items in it was a beautiful Masha D'yans tee (see image at right). The gorgeous print is featured on both front and back of the shirt, and features a lovely tree, whose trunk coincidentally happens to be a jade color, rather than the usual brown! (It also has a wee one hidden beneath a umbrella... trees and umbrellas are two of my favorite things.)
I haven't worn the shirt yet, so today's Jade/Tree card inspired the first wearing.
Purple is my favorite color, and has been since I was a little girl. The card subtitle says "Develop Mental Clarity". The booklet says that it helps heighten the senses and creates a connection between mind, body and soul. The author provides a brief ritual for lighting a purple candle to clear the mind and release negativity. I'll have to dig around, I'm sure I have a purple candle somewhere around here.
Jade also speaks of releasing negativity, and the subtitle of that cards is "Take Action", so I shall certainly work on that today. Off to go look for that purple candle...
