Today's cards were rather ominous, but ended on a good note. They reminded me of two troubling dreams I had last night. In one, I felt trapped and angry, unable to change a situation in which I feared for my daughter's well being (she is eight years old now, but in the dream she was a teenager). This is what the Devil card reminded me of. And in another, a tornado came and swept us up in a truck (me and my three kids), then oddly set us back down again safely and gently. We then rushed home, headed for the bathtub in the basement, hoping we'd be safe there. The three of Swords reminds me of the fear I felt that my (three) kids would be harmed. My heart definitely felt like it was bleeding in both dreams.
The World in this deck is one of my favorite World cards. It shows Mother Earth, wrapped in the embracing safety of a tree's roots. It's like a mother being held by its own mother. This card reminds me that everything is okay. I woke up. They were just dreams. My kids are safe and happy. And that's the most important thing in the World to me.
Side note: My flash threw some weird marks on the Three of Swords, as though there are scratch marks going across it. There aren't. It's a dark rainy day, and this was the best photo of the bunch.

OooOoooh. A "dark rainy day"!! I bet you're excited.
Nice post. You know I realize I said I wasn't as fond of the Tarot of Trees as you are, but I actually like it. It grows on you.
XO
Yeah, it was awesome. It actually rained most of the day, which never happens! It was lovely.
Cool that you're starting to like the Tarot of Trees. It was love at first sight for me. :)
