Dame Fortune's Wheel Tarot: New Year and Blue Moon Manifesting

Tonight's the night! A full moon, a blue moon, a lunar eclipse. The last day of the year, the last day of the decade. And my daughter's birthday.

Today I decided to draw cards intentionally, to use as symbols for what I want to manifest in 2010. I chose cards from the Coins suit, because this year I really need to amp up my financial status. I looked through my deck, and selected the images that illustrated scenarios that I want to embrace and work toward in the coming year.

Ever the procrastinator, I have not yet decided what I will do to harness the power of all the lunar activity tonight. I think I'll just end up winging it and do whatever comes to me at the time. For the first time, my kids want to stay up until midnight, so I don't even know if I'll be able to do much of anything, as I may not have any solitude.

But I will still meditate on these cards as what I want for the year ahead, whether or not I will have the opportunity to do any type of manifestation ritual tonight.

I first pulled the Ace of Coins, as it represents the foundation for the suit. It is the symbol for prosperity and growth. This is the main focus and theme of 2010 for me.

Next I selected the Queen of Coins. This might be the most beautiful Queen of Coins cards I've seen. It's stunning. This is who I want to become in the coming year. I want to embody wealth mentality. I want to live and breathe abundance, gratitude and plenty, so that it's no longer who I strive to be, but rather who I am.

The Queen is taking the Ace of Coins and making it her own. Prosperity is so natural to her, it's not something she even has to think about. It's just who she is. This is where I want to be.

The next three cards I chose show more abundance-related scenes.

The Four of Coins shows a woman who reminds me of Lady Fortuna. She holds two cornucopias. One is held upside down, spilling out gold crowns and coins. The other is held upright and is overflowing with fruits. There is a man sitting at her feet, welcoming this new abundance in his life. I see myself first as the man, experiencing a new level of wealth this year, and then as the woman, sharing my abundance with others.

In the Nine of Coins, I see myself with my three children, working on our new home with lush hills of green in the background. I definitely want to move this year, to a place that is more green and beautiful. I look forward to finally settling down somewhere and enjoying making a new home together.

And in the Six of Coins, I see the coins encircling the moon, which brings me back to the special meaning of this evening. The coins make the shape of a full moon. The woman is holding a lamp and ringing a bell, which makes me think of a magical ritual involving soft music, candles and the moon. I do hope that I get the opportunity to set my intentions tonight in some manner, however small, before I fall asleep!

Happy New Year, everyone! I hope 2010 finds you in just right place to make your dreams come true!
