Daily Draw - The Lovers and Four of Wands (and The Moon)

Well, well, well... Yesterday I drew the Lovers for the first time on my blog. It was the only card left that I hadn't drawn in over a year of blogging. And now it shows up two days in a row, using different decks. (This week I'm using the Faerie Tarot.)

When I see the Lovers and Four of Wands together, I think marriage. Next week is my parents' wedding anniversary, and I'm supposed to be reminding my father of that. (After he forgot my mother's birthday this past summer, I told her that I'd remind him from now on when her birthday or their anniversary comes creeping up.) These cards are a nice reminder for me to remind him. Notice the woman laying alone in the Four of Wands card... this looks how my mom felt on her birthday, in the security of her home, but feeling forgotten by the one person who was supposed to celebrate her special day. Looking at the card from a different angle, I now see her laying peacefully, an indication that my mom can rest easy in the knowledge that her husband will remember to acknowledge the holidays that are important to her.

I also looked at the bottom card of the deck this morning and saw The Moon, which is funny because I remember in the series of readings I did about the whole missed birthday catastrophe last July, the Moon had come up in the Lenormand cards. The Moon can be a sign of cyclical events, so it makes sense that it came up again for the anniversary reminder today. In that same Lenormand reading, the House card had also come up, which to me, is similar to the tarot's Four of Wands. I love how it's all tying in together.

All three cards I pulled today were cards that came up for me last week when I was using the Undersea Tarot, so I'll pay special attention to any additional synchronicities that may come up relating to these three cards this week.

Without the wonderful backstory about your mom and step-dad, just looking at these, I might think the Faerie in the Four is dreaming the dream of dancing with her lover in the Lovers, b/c of the way the Four faerie is positioned.

And, maybe influenced by your readings about an ex-, I'd think that she's dreaming of someone from her past, b/c even in the Lovers card, the female figure is still oriented to the left.

Fun!
