I'm beginning this new blog today with a daily card draw, and I have to share the story behind this card. This evening, I tried to remember if I had drawn a card this morning for the day ahead. I couldn't remember. I remember doing a spread this morning for myself, but I couldn't remember drawing a single daily card. So I sat down to draw another, as a summary of the day. I drew the Queen of Pentacles. When I turned this card over, I laughed as I remembered I had indeed drawn a daily card this morning, and this was the same one! I LOVE when things like this happen.So apparently the Queen of Pents has a strong message for me today. I did have a cozy day with my kids, and I did receive money effortlessly today. If every day could be like today, it would be wonderful. The queen in this card seems not to have a care or stress in the world. This relaxed and confident attitude toward finances is a quality I have been conscious lately of adopting as my own. In this card, she is holding a disc of gold as large as her torso, and I am reminded of the abundance of the universe. The Queen of Pentacles has that knack for manifesting ideas into reality. It's a very encouraging card for me to draw (twice!) today!
I usually think of my mother when this card comes up, as she is very practical and responsible in financial matters. I just spent a week with her, as she was visiting from out of town, and her generosity was extremely abundant this week. So this card also serves as a message of the energies recently surrounding me.
